Sweet tooth lovers have been raising money for charity

Humberside Training Associates and Evoke Technologies held the fundraiser at Craven Park Training and Enterprise Centre to support national cancer charity Macmillan.

Businesses were invited to join them for some cake, a cuppa and a chat as part of the worthwhile cause and a chance for people to catch up after the recent restrictions.

Organiser Nevenka Fenwick of Evoke Technologies said, “Anything that raises the profile of MacMillan is important and highlights the tremendous work they do in dealing with people sadly dealing with cancer”.

Coffee morning fellow organiser Dave Stuart, of Humberside Training said: “It’s important that these kinds of fundraising events take place.  MacMillan touch so many lives., the carers are so resilient.  The nurses do a fantastic job with pure dedication and show such friendship.”

Macmillan’s Coffee Mornings is the charities biggest fundraising event to support people living with cancer, starting back in 1990 they have raised over £290 million for Macmillan.
